A 64/36 per cent blend of cool Hills merlot and cabernet sauvignon, the pairing shows good balance underneath a concentrated blackberry, plum, violet aromatic top side. It feels a bit of a sleeper at the moment, but has genuine power and a twist of spicy oak for an exotic edge in the finish. 91 points.
