Adelaide Hills Reds › Lenswood Abbotts Prayer

1 April 2006, Winewise

Just when I was on the verge of giving up on merlot, I poured a glass of this exciting wine. The nose is rich and complex, showing obvious merlot character, but at the same time, it is quite like that of a good right bank Bordeaux. The palate is long and silky, with seamless oak integration, a long aftertaste and fine tannin support. Enjoying the Abbotts Prayer now is simply not a problem, but it has the structure, intensity and balance to age gracefully for a long time.
