2021 MOUNT EDELSTONE BY THE GLASS IN AUSTRALIAN RESTAURANTS

To celebrate the Henschke family’s 2021 Single Vineyard Release, a range of the country’s top restaurants are now pouring 2021 Mount Edelstone by the glass.

Mount Edelstone has been crafted by the Henschke family for over 65 years now, and is arguably the longest consecutively produced, single-vineyard wine in Australia. Planted in 1912 by Ronald Angas and first bottled as a single-vineyard wine in 1952 by Cyril Henschke, it has become recognised as one of Australia’s greatest shiraz wines.

“This a gorgeous reference Eden Valley Shiraz with superb fruit definition, energy and flow.” 99 points – Andrew Caillard MW, The Vintage Journal

“At 113 years old, the Mount Edelstone vineyard is nothing short of a treasure. … This is a lovely, oh-so-Henschke release that will bring pleasure now, but will age beautifully for a long as you’ve the patience to wait.” 98 points – Christina Pickard, Wine Enthusiast

“The 2021 is an absolute stunner from a great vintage and I've no doubt that this will age gracefully for decades. … Velvety and graceful in its flow on the palate with a fresh mineral cadence and superfine, powdered granitic tannins for support. It'll go down as one of the greats.” 98 points – Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
