We are delighted to announce that our viticulturist, Prue Henschke, was awarded the 'Old Vineyard of the Year' trophy for Mount Edelstone Vineyard at the 6th Annual Vineyard of the Year Awards on Tuesday, 16 June.
Presented by Young Gun of Wine, the Vineyard of the Year Awards celebrate viticulture and champion outstanding vineyards and their stewards, elevating awareness of how vineyards shape the wines we love.
“The awards process enables us to dig deep into best practice and share learnings. There are so many great growers out there, and we want to share their stories.” — Max Allen, judge
Congratulations to Prue, our viticultural technical officer Adam Pietsch and our vineyard team on this wonderful recognition of the care and dedication that goes into managing the centenarian vines at Mount Edelstone.
The award is particularly meaningful in a year that marks 70 vintages of Mount Edelstone, one of Australia's longest consecutively produced single-vineyard wines.
