Ronald Angas plants a 16 hectare shiraz vineyard near Henschke called Mount Edelstone.

Early settler Joseph Hill Thyer plants the first vines on a vineyard on Cranes Range Road on land purchased by the Thyer family in 1877. This would become the Henschke Eden Valley vineyard.
